The Village of Clemmons has initiated a Pedestrian Plan study, which will result in the first ever Pedestrian Master Plan for the Village. Funded through a planning grant from the Winston-Salem Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (WSUAMPO) with additional local support from the Village of Clemmons, the Pedestrian Plan study will focus on enhancing the network of pedestrian and multi-use path facilities. Recommendations will include a variety of sidewalks, multi-use path and crossing improvements as well as policy and funding opportunities review. The study process started in February 2023.
Happening now:
- Online survey for the pedestrian study will be open from June 3-July 16, 2023: please fill out the survey to let us know where there are safety concerns and where additional pedestrian improvements are needed! Survey link: https://metroquestsurvey.com/hal19
Next steps:
After concluding public engagement and reviewing online survey results, the study team will develop draft pedestrian plan recommendations. A second public engagement period is planned for September 2023. A draft plan document is expected in the winter of 2024. Stay tuned for plan process updates!
