Clemmons 101 

If you desire to gain a greater understanding of local government functions and responsibilities, you might be interested in taking ‘Clemmons 101.’  This is a short course developed and taught by Village employees and council members, designed to provide a general understanding of governmental aspects and only requires three evenings to complete.  The course is offered whenever sufficient interest warrants it.  Please contact the Village Hall if you are interested in signing up for a course.  

Please note that all temporary signs are illegal in the Village.  Yard sale signs, as well as other signs, cannot be placed on stop sign posts, utility poles, or street sign posts.  They will be removed by Public Works staff in accordance with the ordinance.

 As a homeowner and/or property owner in the Village of Clemmons, you must obtain a Driveway Permit before building a new driveway or redoing your current driveway.  Permits cost $30.00 for new driveways and $10 for a redo. 

If you are contracting with someone to build a driveway, or if you plan on doing the work yourself, be sure and get the proper paperwork and pay the fee at Public Works on Dillion Industrial Drive before proceeding. 

Inspections must take place before and after driveway installations or repairs.  This process helps to ensure quality work where driveways and roads connect and that proper drainage is prepared for water runoff.
