Recycling - A Shared Responsibility Recycling using the new 96-gallon rollout carts began the week of July 9,

What to do with your HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE? There is a permanent household hazardous waste disposal facility for residents of Forsyth County called 3RC The EnviroStation. It is located at 1401 South Martin Luther King Jr. Drive (across from Bowman Gray Stadium) Their hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. until Noon (except holidays). 3RC takes the following... metal polish, oven cleaner, rug shampoo, rat bait, bug sprays, gasoline, motor & fuel oil, antifreeze, brake fluid, batteries, glues, strippers, thinners, solvents, unmixed photo material, or other poisonous, ignitable, corrosive products, paints, cyanide waste and fluorescent light bulbs. Enter 3RC at gate, follow drive and remain in car. You will be asked for proof of your Forsyth County residency (driver's license). If you have any questions, call the 3RC facility at 784-4300.
