Planning Department

Welcome to the Village of Clemmons Planning Department.  The Planning Department is dedicated to providing professional land use guidance, technical expertise and customer service.

The responsibilities of the Clemmons Planning Department includes the following:

• Foster current and long range planning projects and implementation
• Direct the land use and development process for rezonings, subdivisions, commercial development, and amendments to the Unified Development Ordinances (UDO)
• Recommend Village policy
• Support Village Boards and Committees

The Village has a nine member Planning Board and a seven member Zoning Board of Adjustment.  The Village contracts with the City/County Inspections to handle inspections, permits, and code enforcement.

The only permits issued by the Village Office are driveway permits and Stormwater Management Permits (see the Stormwater page).
